Six Ways Honey Can Be Added To Your Daily Life

We all know honey is sweet and delicious, but are you aware of the amazing things it can do?

Honey has been proven to improve health, and it also has a number of beauty uses. (Why do you think Burt’s Bees products are so popular?)

Washing your face with honey instead of soap can clear your skin, as honey is loaded with natural antibacterial and healing properties. And if you’re looking for a soothing lip balm, combine some honey with a few drops each of olive oil, vitamin E and glycerin.

If you have a cough, dissolve two tablespoons of raw honey in a quarter cup of lukewarm water. Add the juice of half a lemon. That ought to make your throat feel better — bottoms up!

To clear your sinuses, mix one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of fresh ginger juice. Drink this concoction two or three times a day until you can breathe again.

Honey can also be used to make a delicious, all-natural sports drink. Mix water, honey and sea salt for a chemical-free alternative to Gatorade.

And if you’re having trouble sleeping, eating one or two teaspoons of honey with a pinch of salt will send you into a peaceful slumber.
