According to Dr. William Davis, cardiologist turned holistic health practitioner, a special Lactobacillus reuteri yogurt can dramatically improve a number of crucial health functions. The specific strain of bacteria grown in the yogurt culture has even been studied at MIT in both animals and humans, alike, to amazing results.

This coconut yogurt has some very cool side effects

The first positive side effect of the yogurt is a complete shut-down of appetite, called an anorexigenic effect. Much like pumpkin puree (which we named as the perfect food to “trick” your brain during a diet), the coconut yogurt fills you up without weighing you down. Suppressing the appetite also makes intermittent fasting easier, and helps the body break through pesky weight loss plateaus.

Mix everything below vigorously in a clean stainless steel or ceramic bowl, then pop it in a food dehydrator at 115 degrees for 24 hours. Refrigerate the mixture for an additional day. After the two days of prep and cooling, you should have a “jello-like” texture more so than traditional yogurt. Top with some raw honey and a few slices of strawberries for the perfect summer dessert.

  • – 2 cans coconut milk
  • – Vanilla extract or Stevia (a couple teaspoons)
  • – 4 heaping scoops quick dissolve collagen peptides
  • – 10 BioGaia Gastrus L-Reuteri probiotic capsules, ground with a mortar and pestle (this is the most important part of the recipe, make sure to get it right!)
  • – 2 scoops acacia fiber
